“ I purchased a new vehicle back in March. The purchase process had some hiccups, but ultimately I made the purchase. Then in July I received a notice from Cook County that taxes were still due. I called the dealership on Monday and left a message. Called again Tuesday and left a message. On Wednesday no one had called me back so I called my sales person directly. Kenny answered and said he’d have to get back to me the next day when he was in the office. No call on Thursday. I called Kenny again Friday and he said that finance was supposed to call me and he would check with them and have them call me. I then received a text from him that they did not collect the Cook County tax. Ok, not helpful. In March we had negotiated an all-in price. Typically that means all taxes. Neither Kenny nor the finance person I dealt with informed me that Lombard Toyota chooses not to register with Cook County in order to remit their tax. We discussed Cook County taxes during negotions, which caused Kenny to increase the price to cover the added tax. Now I have a bill to pay in addition to the extra I paid for my vehicle. I’m disappointed this wasn’t disclosed. I’m disappointed no one could call me back. I’m disappointed that when I drove to the dealership to finally talk to someone, the finance person could only tell me that he just pays what the computer tells him and that it is illegal for them to pay takes to Cook County, which is untrue. This is my second Highlander from Lombard Toyota and will be my last. ”

“ Very disappointed that this dealer will not sell you a new car unless you except to pay an additional $299 for nitrogen filled tires even though I didn't request or wanted that on a new vehicle. The sales associate stated that he will not remove it because the general manager will not take off this fee and is okay with losing a car deal over it. I called later to ask about this add on fee and receptionist stated if sales associate said it is required then that is what it is. I was not transferred to talk to a general manager/manager to enquire about it. I told receptionist that I hope the dealership reconsidered not adding these unnecessary fees/add-ons, because they just lost a deal. Long story short, I ended up getting the same car that I wanted from Toyota in Ohio. They did not force you to pay for unnecessary add-ons. Also, there was other Toyota dealers in Illinois & in the Chicago area that I called that didn't require you to pay for nitrogen filled tires. I recommend buyers to call around dealers to make sure you aren't force to pay for fees that you will later end up paying interest for the life of your loan. Hopefully this dealership changes that policy. ”

“ I have been coming here since I purchased my Highlander. I made an appointment for a simple oil change at 8:45 am. At 10:00am I asked about my car. I was told there were 2 cars ahead of me! Why make the appointment if it’s treated like nothing? I mentioned to the service guy that this was ridiculous, and was met with silence. As soon as I brought it up everyone in the service area looked at their shoes, Crickets! No apologies whatsoever! I got my keys back and left. I went to a local oil change place that did what I asked and was happy. Sorry Lombard Toyota, if that’s how you treat long standing customers, I’m out. Never going back there again. ZERO STARS! I appreciate your response to my review, but I have moved on. I’ve spent most of that morning solving the problem you created. I even had to get my car washed because someone parked it in an area that collected construction dust/debris. I’m not happy with your dealership and not sure what you can do to make this feeling go away. ”
